Notes to the Editor:

In 1810 Irish surveyor John Shields named Dublin, Ohio after his birthplace of Dublin, Ireland.

The Dublin Irish Festival was founded in 1988 by the Dublin Irish Celebration. In 1992, the City of Dublin assumed management of the Festival. The Festival celebrated its 35th Anniversary in 2022, growing from a small gathering to one of the largest Irish cultural gatherings in the world.
