Met Éireann: Storm Barra

Met Éireann have issued a national weather warning with effect from 6am 07/12 to 6am 08/12 in relation to Storm Barra. There will be high winds along coastal areas. This, together with low atmospheric pressure and high astronomical tides will lead to higher tides at the coast. As a result, DCC will be closing the car parks at Clontarf and Sandymount, as well as closing the flood gates along the Dodder. DCC  will be monitoring the situation and will deploy additional resources as necessary. There may be dangerous conditions at sea and at coastal areas and our advice is to avoid these areas during Storm Barra
