Hugh Lane Gallery Excited to be Reopening

The Hugh Lane Gallery is excited to announce that it will reopen next Tuesday, 30th June.

Following a challenging few months, the gallery is looking forward to welcoming the public back through its doors again.

If you have missed seeing your favourite artworks, why not pay us a visit and relax in our beautiful surroundings.

The Lane Legacy exhibition features some of the most famous and prized paintings in the collection. See Monet’s Waterloo Bridge or Manet’s Music in the Tuileries Gardens, Lavery’s beautiful portrait of his wife Hazel or Frank O’Meara’s views of the French artists’ colony Grez sur Loing. Take a walk through the Sean Scully collection or be once again amazed at the chaos of Francis Bacon’s studio.

“We can’t wait to see our visitors come through the doors again. We also look forward to meeting our new followers whom we met on social media.  They were a terrific online support. We would love them to come to the gallery, see the artworks and let us know what they think,” said Director, Barbara Dawson.

You could also drop into our café (open 11am-3pm daily from Wednesday) or pick up some new reading material in our bookshop.

The gallery will be operating in line with Government guidelines and under strict health and safety protocols.
