Eresources

All libraries in Ireland provide the following online resources like a basic package: BorrowBox, Libby, PressReader, and Universal Class.

After that, what's on offer is a smorgasbord of different online resources. For example South Dublin have their local study resources and Cork City Libraries offer film streaming.

This is important to bear in mind when it comes to the new online catalogue. Each local authority has it's own library catalogue, find your library's online catalogue. This is separate from their websites: select your library service.

Sounds confusing but it's not.

This brings me to the next item. You must have a Dublin City library card to access our eResources. The same goes for all the library authorities. If you want to use Cork City Libraries film streaming for example you must have a Cork City Libraries card.

Upgrade to full membership

If you have a temporary library card (the barcode begins with TEMP) please upgrade to full membership to get the most from your library service. Don't forget to bring photo I.D. and proof of address.

For more on what our eResources can offer you in the way of lifelong learning please browse our blogs. eResources offer a cornucopia of entertainment and learning. Please contact our helpdesk if you have any library issues and we'll get back to you ASAP.

If you have a Hotmail / Outlook account please check your junk folder.  PIN notifications, overdue and pick-up notices may also end up there. If you need to contact us please use our dedicated helpdesk: [email protected]
