Lima

Celebrate Halloween and the Children’s Book Festival with Dublin City Libraries. There are a lot of books to enjoy from our TumbleBook collection. Today, we have chosen ‘The Lima Bean Monster’, written by Dan Yaccarino and illustrated by Adam McCauley. Sammy hates when he is given lima beans for dinner.  So he throws them into a secret hole. When other children hear about the hole, they use it to get rid of their lima beans too. When lightning strikes, the discarded lima beans turns into a lima bean monster, hungry for humans.

To find today’s book just log into TumbleBook Library and search for the title. This book is suitable for ages 5–8.
