Festival of History highlights

Dublin Festival of History celebrated its tenth birthday this year. We're happy to report the Festival attracted big crowds and inspired lively discussion!

It was fantastic to welcome so many people to our Big Weekend at Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute and to our packed programme of events in city libraries and venues around the city.

A massive thank-you to all of the speakers, partners, venues, the Dublin City Culture Company team, libraries, The Gutter Bookshop and of course to each and every person who attended (in-person or online) and engaged with Festival events!

With over 130 free events, the Dublin Festival of History took place from 26 September to 16 October 2022. The programme included history lectures, walks, films and seminars and workshops for children.

Check out some photos by the wonderful Ger Holland taken at the Big Weekend at Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute on 1 and 2 October.
