Return to in-person events/activities
Published on 14th February 2022
Over the past two years Dublin City Libraries have become incredibly innovative in their virtual events. And while virtual events have many benefits in their own right, it was never a question of if live events would come back, but when.
In-person events are truly irreplaceable, and people are eager to get back to those face-to-face interactions.
We are preparing to return to hosting library activities again. In-person events are no longer restricted. Branches will invite groups back into the library.
That means, yes, you got it, the return of book clubs, toddler groups, class visits and more!
Any groups involved in the any of the above, or other groups, please engage with local branches. Make yourself known so we can facilitate you in the delivery of these services!
You are never too young to join the library. If you are under the age of eighteen you need the permission of a parent or guardian who must sign the necessary form.
Parents/guardians are responsible for their children's selections and library materials and services, including use of the library and access to the Internet.
A flavour of some of the things we do:
- Book Clubs
- English language classes
- Family Days – events to suit children of all ages, lego themed activities, book-related activities with storytellers, puppet shows, robotics/coding workshops etc.
- Knitting clubs
- Exhibitions
- Workshops
- Class visits
- Local Studies Material
- Literacy Material
