The autumn business events programme at the Central Library is back. This is a collaboration with LEO Dublin City. Our first event was - Self-Employment, Is it for me?

The lunchtime panel discussion was moderated by Alp Turkmen, an experienced LEO Business Mentor and Technology Business Development Consultant. Entrepreneurs Caroline Murphy of Flourish By Design, Sarah Blake of Earthology, and Conor Bacon of TOO Savage, also contributed.

The session gave attendees an insight into the experiences and challenges faced by real people.

The conversation covered the importance of networking, and the necessity of ensuring that one looks after one’s own health and wellbeing.

Self-Employment, Is it for me?

The audience were interested in how our speakers overcame setbacks. It was fascinating to hear of the resilience and creativity that the panellists employed in facing unexpected developments.

The Local Enterprise Offices provides many supports from training, mentoring, networking; to asistance navigating grants and financial supports.
