The Royal Canal Premium Cycle Route Phase 2 scheme was officially opened to the public by Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu on Friday, 31st July 2020.

Dublin City Cycling Development

The continued delivery of an efficient, integrated and coherent transport network is a critical component of the Dublin City Development Plan (2016-2022).  The strategy makes optimum use of existing and proposed transport infrastructure, and Dublin City Council works with the National Transport Authority (NTA) and relevant transport agencies to deliver key projects. 

Proposed plans to install a contraflow cycle lane on Lombard Street East

It is proposed to install a segregated contraflow cycle track along Lombard East and the associated traffic management changes.

Dublin City Council Parking Control Bye-Laws 2019

A Public Consultation on the Draft Dublin City Council Parking Control Bye-Laws 2019 was held from Monday 11th February until Friday 22nd March 2019.  By resolution of the Council at its meeting on 13th May 2019 the Dublin City Council Parking Control Bye-Laws 2019 were adopted.  The new Bye-Laws will come into effect on Monday 1st July 2019.
