Dublin City Council would like to announce the launch of its 2023 Shop front Improvement Scheme for Capel St and the surrounding areas.

This scheme, which is run by the Council’s Office of City Recovery and The Central Area Office, supports projects that enhance the appearance of shop fronts and business premises and that help to create a more inviting and attractive street.

The scheme encourages best practice approaches to shop front design, maintenance and presentation; the conservation of historic features where appropriate; and the overall enhancement of streetscapes. On the day the Lord Mayor Cllr Caroline Conroy and the Chair of the Central Area Committee Cllr Ray McAdam will also officially open the new landscaped area on Ryder’s Row.  A very welcome and attractive greening initiative to the City Centre that adds great colour to the area.

Dublin City Council also runs Shopfront Improvement Schemes in the South West Inner City Area and in the North West City Area.
