Henry Street Christmas Market returns for Christmas 2021
Published on 6th December 2021
Dublin City Council is delighted to announce the return of Henry Street Christmas Market. Spread across Henry Street and Mary Street, the market is set to expand on its 2020 offering. After operating at a limited capacity last year, the market is now back with a full complement of trading stalls for the month of December (excluding Christmas Day).
The Council welcomes the return of this much loved market, a longstanding Christmas tradition for many Dubliners. As the oldest Christmas market in Dublin, it boasts a rich history that spans generations. It has been a part of the city centre Christmas shopping experience over the last few decades, for those from Dublin and beyond.
Deputy Lord Mayor, Joe Costello visited the market today to mark its official opening.
Last year’s market, which operated across Henry Street and O’Connell Street, featured only 25 stalls due to Covid-19 restrictions. This year will see the number of traders increase to 42 and they will operate on both Henry Street and Mary Street. Shoppers can expect to see Christmas gifts, decorations, toys, and much, much more when they visit the market this year.
