An Introduction to 'Comedy Culture in the Capital'

Dublin City Council is thrilled to announce the launch of a series of comedy gigs in Dublin 1, titled 'Comedy Culture in the Capital', organised by the city’s Night-Time Economy Advisor.
Taking place from November 27–29, 'Comedy Culture in the Capital' will bring together top international and Irish comedians, with events held across iconic Dublin venues, including The Ambassador, The Hugh Lane Gallery, The Flowing Tide, and The Big Romance. Headline acts include Reginald D Hunter, Shane Daniel Byrne, Sophia Wren, Barry Murphy, Paul Tylak and Becky Cheadle, among others.
'Comedy Culture in the Capital' celebrates comedy as a dynamic art form and showcases Dublin’s unique blend of talent, humour, and creativity.
Ray O'Donoghue, Dublin City’s Night-Time Economy Advisor, expressed his enthusiasm: “This introduction of this mini festival is a fantastic addition to Dublin’s vibrant nightlife and cultural scene. By bringing comedy to iconic venues, we’re creating something truly special for the city. We’re excited to welcome residents and visitors alike to enjoy an unforgettable experience across Dublin 1. 2024 will be a lot of fun with the intention of getting bigger next year.”
