Join the Free Family Fun at Céilí Beag 2026 in Temple Bar

Dublin City Council is delighted to invite people of all ages to Céilí Beag 2026, a fun, free and family friendly celebration bringing traditional Irish music, dance and culture to life in the heart of Temple Bar.
The event will take place in Meeting House Square on Sunday 15 March, from 2:00pm to 7:45pm, offering an exciting and vibrant programme as part of the St. Patrick’s Weekend festivities. Visitors can look forward to:
- Live traditional music from The Liffey Four
- World class Irish dancing from the Kavanagh Porter Academy
- Energetic Irish language hosting by Seán Ó Maoilchiaráin
- Family fun and giveaways, including face painting, tote bags, t shirts and children’s medals
- A special Irish language film screening from 6:15pm to 7:45pm
Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Ray McAdam, encouraging everyone to come said, “Céilí Beag is Dublin at its most joyful. Music, dance and language bringing people together in the heart of our capital. I encourage families, friends and visitors to come to Meeting House Square this St Patrick’s Weekend, learn a cúpla focal, join the dancing and celebrate the traditions that give Dublin its soul.”
Céilí Beag is designed for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned céilí dancer or simply want to soak up the lively St. Patrick’s Weekend atmosphere.
