Last Chance to Have Your Say on the ‘Grow College Green’ Pre Planning Design
Published on 10th March 2026
Public consultation closes tomorrow, 11 March, on Engage.ie
Dublin City Council is reminding the public that consultation on the pre‑planning design for ‘Grow College Green’ closes tomorrow, 11 March 2026, and is encouraging residents, commuters, businesses and visitors to share their views before the deadline.
Grow College Green is the flagship project to reimagine one of Dublin’s most historic and important civic spaces, transforming the area into a safer, greener and more accessible destination for everyone. The updated design has been shaped by an extensive programme of community engagement since August 2024, including two rounds of public consultation, more than 2,800 submissions, and over 100 in‑person engagement events with stakeholders, local businesses, community groups and Disabled Persons Representative Organisations (DPROs).
The design reflects the feedback received to date and sets out a vision for a high‑quality public realm that supports everyday activity, cultural events and social interaction, while also creating moments of calm within the heart of the city.
The redesigned space will become a lively, pedestrian‑priority area, offering improved accessibility, clearer routes, enhanced planting, more shade and seating, and flexible areas for cultural activity and civic events. Sustainability and climate resilience remain central to the project, with tree planting, nature‑based drainage solutions and high‑quality materials supporting Dublin’s climate goals.
The full updated design, along with plans, visualisations and supporting materials, remains available to view on Engage.ie until midnight tomorrow, and has already received almost 1000 submissions.
