Receive a Christmas Card from the Lord Mayor of Dublin
Published on 16th November 2020
Do you have an elderly family member, friend, or neighbour that you think might like a Christmas card from the Lord Mayor of Dublin this year?
2020 has been a very difficult year for so many people and in particular those who are elderly, living on their own, or have had to isolate for medical reasons.
The Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu wants to let people know that she is thinking of them during the festive period.
She would like to invite Dubliners to contact her office if they know someone they think would like a Christmas card from her.
“This has been a very strange and difficult year for all of us,” said the Lord Mayor. “It’s so important to reach out to isolated people in our community and let them know we’re thinking of them. That’s especially important at Christmas time and that’s why, as First Citizen of our great city, I want to offer this small gesture to help us all feel more connected.”
Simply send the person’s name and address only (no other information required) to [email protected] marked ‘Christmas Card’ and they will receive a card in the run up to Christmas.
Please note that the recipient can be made aware of their nominator’s details if they are requested.
