Commemorations Programme 2023
Dublin City Council’s Commemorations Programme for 2023 looks at important anniversaries in the Decade of Centenaries including The Irish Civil War.
The varied programme includes:
- The Dublin Festival of History, 25 September to 15 October.
- Irish Revolutionary Book Club at select libraries
- A series of lectures on delivered by the Dublin City Council Historians-in-Residence

Decade of Commemoration grants
Under its Commemorations Programme Dublin City Council has established a Community Grants Scheme to support community-based groups and community organisations and partnerships, who want to organise dignified and appropriate commemorative events.
Dublin City Council Commemorations Committee
The Arts, Culture, Recreation and Community Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) established a committee on commemorations on 13 October 2014. The Commemorations Committee is chaired by Cllr.
