Green waste is biodegradable garden waste like hedge trimmings, lawn clippings, light branches and leaves.

Trial of Cashless Payment only for Green Waste at Grangegorman Bring Centre

Over the last year, contactless payment technology has become the preferred method of payment by many people. Dublin City Council installed contactless technology at all of our Bring Centres for the payment of Green Waste recycling fees and we now intend to trial totally cashless payment at Grangegorman Bring Centre from 1st May with a view to extending to all Bring Centres. 

Patrons are requested to use contactless payment technology at Grangegorman Bring Centre from 1 May 2021.

 

Dublin City Council accepts green waste at the following Bring Centres:

Southside

  • Windmill Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12
  • Gullistan Terrace, Rathmines, Dublin 6

Northside

  • Collins Avenue, opposite DCU entrance, Dublin 9
  • Oscar Traynor Road, Coolock, Dublin 5 (Beside Garda Station)
  • Grangegorman Bring Centre, Upper Grangegorman Road, Dublin 7

The charges for Green Waste are as follows

  • €2 per bag (80 litres max)
  • €16 per skip bag (1m³; skip bags are available from most hardware stores)

You can pay on-site for the disposal of green waste.

Please note that cash machines at each site accept coins and exact change only. Notes are not accepted. Staff do not have access to coins and you are asked to have your own change available.

Conditions for use

  • All green waste must be bagged
  • No commercial green waste will be accepted
  • Payment must be made for each bag of green waste presented at the Bring Centres
  • Skip bags require two people for handling
