Markievicz Park
Some parks with a large number of gates will start to close half an hour before the above times to allow enough time for all gates to be closed at the designated hour.
Markievicz Park is in Ballyfermot on the city's Southside. The park has a playground, an all weather football court, soccer pitches and a picnic area. It also has a tree trail and a community sculpture.

Art
The community sculpture in the park that was designed and made by the ‘CANDLE’ workshop who ran metal workshops for local youths. They also designed and made the gates for the park when it was refurbished.
