Transport for Ireland has a journey planning tool that shows walking, cycling and public transport options, as well as highlighting bikes available at Dublin Bikes stands so you can easily combine multiple modes.
Bike share options
Dublin has a number of bike share schemes where users can borrow bikes for short periods of time. This is a great way to test out cycling, as well as combining cycling with other transport modes to get around the city with ease.

Bleeper Bikes: find available bikes through the app and return to any public bike rack. Costs €1 per ride / 1 day pass = €5
Moby: electric bike sharing scheme in Dublin. Use the app to find available bikes. Costs €1 start fee and 5 cent per minute / €3 per hour.
