C2CC Project: Construction Works

In January 2022, Dublin City Council awarded the contract for construction of the Clontarf to City Centre Project to Clonmel Enterprises Ltd. For more information see here.

The project will be completed in sections as follows:

  • Section 1 – Talbot Street to Buckingham Street
  • Section 2 – Buckingham Street to the Five Lamps Junction at Portland Row
  • Section 3 – Five Lamps Junction to Annesley Place
  • Section 4 – Annesley Place to Poplar Row
  • Section 5 – Poplar Row to Fairview Strand
  • Section 6 – Fairview Strand to Malahide Road
  • Section 7 – Malahide Road to Alfie Byrne Road

Construction works commenced on the inbound side of Sections 2, 6 and 7 on March 28th 2022, with temporary traffic management put in place from March 26th 2022. 

Works will commence on the inbound side of sections 3, 4 and 5 on August 8th 2022. Please see here for further details on the Temporary Traffic Management Plan for these works

Clontarf to City Centre Project Sections

Access to Premises:

Pedestrian access to premises along the project route will be maintained at all times during the works. When excavating the road outside individual premises, vehicular access may necessarily be temporarily interrupted. The contractor will liaise with those affected in advance of the work to minimise disruption.

Similarly, access for emergency services, and refuse collection, will also be maintained.
