Join one of our cycle tours taking place throughout Bike Week

City Centre Lunchtime Cycle Tours

Join an exciting bike ride highlighting the best of Dublin led by Cycle Dublin Bike Tours. Ride past Dublin’s most famous attractions and historical sites. You’ll be taken through the most beautiful and interesting characteristics of the city and learn about its rich, strange history as well the quirks that make up Dublin’s culture. The tour will start at Whitefriar Place, beside Aungier Street. Bicycles will be provided for this tour. The tour lasts one hour.

The tour is free to attend but booking is essential. Groups numbers are limited to 15 per tour. Book your place by emailing [email protected]

Guided Cycles from Fairview Park

As part of our Pedalpalooza cycling for all event in Fairview Park, we are organising two guided cycles on Sunday 12th September.

Sunday 12th September, 1pm: Guided Cycle to Clontarf promenade

This 7km cycle leaves from Fairview Park and travel along the Clontarf promenade to the wooden bridge. To sign up for this event please complete the online registration.  

Sunday 12th September, 3pm: Guided Cycle to Royal Canal

This 4km cycle leaves from Fairview Park and brings participants to the new premium cycle route along the Royal Canal. To sign up for this event please complete the online registration.

Monthly Cycles Bike Week Cycle

Monthly Cycles are a Dublin-based initiative, with the aim of bringing women in Dublin together each month for an inclusive cycle around the city. These are social events, with the added bonuses of exploring the capital, sharing experiences, exchanging tips, and (very importantly) enjoying cake. Monthly Cycles Bike Week cycle takes place on Sunday 12th September at 12pm.

Dublin’s Sporting History by Bike

Explore Dublin with a genuine sports fanatic who is full of fun interesting facts from a broad range of sports. This is a fully guided tour and will sports ranging from cricket to Gaelic games. As well as filling you in on fun facts your guide will supply you with a bike, helmet, hi-viz and make sure you are safe at all times. This tour will be led by the Lazy Bike Tour Company and bikes will be supplied.

Date: Monday 13th September

Time: 6pm – 9pm

Meeting point: The Lazy Bike Tour Company, Drury Street Multi Story Car Park, Dublin 2

Explore Glasnevin & Ballymun by Bike

Take a leisurely cycle around the Glasnevin/Ballymun Area.

This a fully guided tour and stops will be made along the way where your guide will give you information and answer any questions you may have. Stops along the way include Glasnevin Cemetry, Tolka Valley, Botanic Gardens & Griffth Avenue. Bike and all safety equipment is provided as well as a friendly guide to take you safely around the routes.

Date: Thursday 16th September

Time: 6pm – 8.30pm

Meeting point: Opposite the entrance to Glasnevin Cemetery

Discover the Grand Canal & Inchicore by Bike

Take a leisurely cycle around the Inchicore area and the Grand Canal. This a fully guided tour and stops will be made along the way where your guide will give you information and answer any questions you may have. Some of the stops include Richmond Barracks, Goldenbridge Cemetery, Kilmainham Goal/Royal Hospital Kilmainham & Irish War Memorial Gardens. This tour will be led by the Lazy Bike Tour Company and bikes and safety equipment will be supplied.

Date: Friday 17th September

Time: 6pm – 8.30pm

Meeting point: Richmond Barracks, Dublin 8

Discover the Docklands and Grand Canal by Bike

Take a leisurely cycle around the Dublin Docklands and the Grand Canal area of Dublin. This is a fully guided tour and stops will be made along the way where your guide will give you information and answer any questions you may have. Stops along the way include Hanover Quay, Windmill Lane Recording Studios, Irishtown & The Great South Wall. This tour will be led by the Lazy Bike Tour Company and bikes and safety equipment will be supplied.

Date: Saturday 18th September

Time: 2.30pm – 5pm

Meeting point: Grand Canal Quay

Royal Canal Cycle

Take a leisurely cycle along the Royal Canal and surrounding area. This is a fully guided tour and stops will be made along the way where your guide will give you information and answer any questions you may have. Stops along the way include Royal Canal, Phoenix Park, Grangegorman & Phibsborough. This tour will be led by the Lazy Bike Tour Company and bikes and safety equipment will be supplied.

Date: Saturday 18th September

Time: 10am – 12.30pm

Meeting point: Cross Guns Basin, Phibsborough
