Proposed Amendments to the Draft Dublin City Development Plan  2011 - 2017 Public Display

The Draft Dublin City Development Plan 2011-2017 was on public display from 21st December 2009 to 12th March, 2010. A total of 1208 formal submissions were received during the public display period. Each submission was fully considered and was summarised in a Manager’s Report which was considered by the City Council at Special

Meetings held on 26th, 27th and 28th July, 2010. This included a summary of sectoral group discussions, Dublin Debate – Mansion House and overview of boards.ie discussion threads. At these Special Meetings the Draft Plan, Manager’s Report on submissions and the report and recommendations of the City Manager to over 900 motions submitted by the Members were discussed, debated and considered.The Elected Council adopted a resolution at the meeting on 28th July, 2010 and resolved that material amendments agreed by them  to the Draft Dublin City Development Plan 2011 – 2017, be placed on 4 weeks statutory public display in accordance with the provisions of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 – 2006.

The Proposed Amendments to the Draft Dublin City Development Plan 2011-2017 are now on public display at over 30 venues in the city including the Civic Offices Atrium during the period from 18th August 2010 to 15th September 2010 incl. During this period members of the public can make submissions only in relation to the proposed amendments. Following this display period the Manager will submit a report to the Members by the middle of October 2010, on the submissions received on the proposed amendments. The City Council will then have 6 weeks to make the new City Development Plan (by 24th November 2010). The Plan will become effective 4 weeks after that date.

Dublin City Council has prepared a Draft  City Development Plan for the City of Dublin. The Draft Plan is accompanied by an Environmental Report and an Appropriate Assessment.

Dublin City Development Plan

The Dublin City Development Plan sets out policies and objectives to create a sustainable and vibrant city at the heart of the Greater Dublin Region. This plan guides how and where development will take place in the city over the next 6 years.

This plan was adopted by Dublin City Council at a Special Meeting on 14th February 2005. The plan came into effect on 14th March 2005.

The Record of Protected Structures

The Record of Protected Structures lists the structures that have been afforded protection by the development plan. Draft Dublin City Development Plan 2011 – 2017 Public Display

The Draft Plan will be on public display at the locations listed in the public notice from Monday, 21st December, 2009 to Friday, 12th March, 2010, when members of the public will have an opportunity to make submissions/observations. Read the Public Notice
