Dubelonging: Dublin-inspired writing sessions for all language and literacy levels
Times & Dates
A weekly 90 minute writing session with lead in time for conversations. The space is open to all language and literacy levels with ‘professional’ to new writers joining with those new to English and/or new to writing.
Dubelonging is building a Dublin of many people and languages all babbling beautifully together. Inspired by the Dubylon project in the Intercultural Language Service in Ballybough, the idea is to create a workshop space for diverse people to come together and share words and ideas around various themes relating to life in Dublin city.
Workshops lead by Fiona Bolger and Rafael Mendes, with guest facilitators.
This project will serve to enhance the language skills classes already offered by groups in Dublin 5 and by Trinity in the Community on Macken St., while also giving creating a space where the people who find themselves living precariously nearby can meet immediate locals and the wider Dublin community of writers and readers.
Thursdays 9 May till 8 August 10am to 12pm at Pearse Street Library.
No booking required, walk-in welcome.
Please note: There will be no session on Thursday 20 July
