The six shortlisted novels have been announced. The works are each translated from a different language and originate from a different country, with three continents represented on the list.

Launching the new online service for Dublin City Library readers. The County Librarian, Mairead Owens, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer this new and improved online library system to our members. Our aim is to provide the very best services we can, both in our branches and online. The new online service is a huge improvement and reflects what libraries are all about - offering a modern efficient service that looks great and makes it easier than ever to find the items you want to borrow.”
From March 30th Dublin City Libraries, along with libraries all over the country, will introduce a new online library system with improved functionality to help us provide a better service to library members.
This fourth volume in the very popular History on your Doorstep series returns to the approach taken in the first two books, in which the Historians in Residence contributed short pieces about the history, locations and people they had encountered in their work in the different areas administered by Dublin City Council.
