The purpose of Strategic Policy Committees is to formulate, develop, monitor and review policies which relate to the functions of Dublin City Council and to advise the Council accordingly. The councillor members of each SPC, together with the Chair Designate, then selected sectoral organisations/groups.

The Housing SPC meets on a monthly basis and topics covered include Housing Supply report, Homelessness, themes and Sub Groups that evolve from the SPC.

Brendan Kenny, Assistant Chief Executive, has administrative responsibility for this committee.
