• Bring free WiFi to your community – applications now open

    The Smart City Unit of Dublin City Council is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications under the WiFi4U scheme. This scheme will assist eligible organisations in installing new WiFi networks or upgrading existing WiFi networks, through funding from the EU and from the Department of Rural and Community Development.   • Beach Wheelchairs Available

    There are 4 beach wheelchairs available to use on Dollymount beach for the bathing season. There are two hippocampae and two Debug beach wheelchairs.

    The beach wheelchairs are now available for use directly on the beach. They are being managed by Pure Magic and are available near the mens bathing shelter on the north bull wall. The wheelchairs need to be booked in advance.

Dublin City Council’s newly designed Peace Garden to re-open at Christchurch Dublin 8

Councillor Michael Watters, representing the Lord Mayor, Paul Mc Auliffe, will officially re-open the Peace Garden at Christchurch Place, Dublin 8 at a ceremony on Tuesday 25th June, 2019 at 2.30 p.m. This newly designed garden will provide a beautiful public space for quiet contemplation in the bustling historic centre of the city.

Plaque to be unveiled at the site of the Hirschfeld Centre

The Lord Mayor of Dublin Paul Mc Auliffe and Senator David Norris together with many of the early organisers and attendees of the Hirschfeld Centre will unveil a plaque today at 6pm at 10 Fownes Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.
