ACA Wonder Wander Walking Trails
Discover Dublin’s hidden architectural gems with self-guided Wonder Wander trails. Explore maps, history and fun scavenger hunts along the way.
The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage, in partnership with Dublin City Council, has produced two new walking trail maps. They showcase well-known architectural highlights and lesser-known architectural details in the Architectural Conservation Areas of Phibsborough, Mountjoy Square and North Great George’s Street.
Each walking trail was developed in consultation with the local communities. They shine a light on two of the city's Architectural Conservation Areas (ACAs), which are areas designated as having special architectural, historical or cultural interest.
The trails are self-guided with interactive maps providing user-friendly information on selected sites along the route. An accompanying “Scavenger Hunt” also shows architectural details to keep an eye out for.
