summer stars 2022

Your library is open and chock-full of books where you can meet funny imaginary characters and go on exciting adventures! If you would like to register for the Summer Stars reading challenge, contact your local library.

We have some summer reading tips that your parents might like. The school year is almost over but you can still spark your imagination, and join in activities by taking part in our exciting programme.

Summer Stars BorrowBox: Browse, borrow, read and listen to the Summer Stars collection of children’s e-books and e-audio books through the library’s BorrowBox app. Check out our eBooks and eAudio books with a special Summer Stars collection coming soon.

This is free for all Dublin City Libraries members to use from anywhere, anytime. Non-members can join Dublin City Libraries online for free here.

Summer Stars storytime will be delivered by library staff, available through your local library social media pages. Follow us on: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram.

Flex Your brain muscles with activities like word searches, spot the difference, code scramblers and much more. The solutions are there too-but do not be tempted until you finish!

Reading cards and reviews: Children can track their reading progress with reading cards which can be marked each time a book is read, online or in print form. These are available from your local library or for download and print below. The reviews section allows readers to upload their views on what they have read.

Watch the video on YouTube.
