Dublin City Council is delighted to announce the return of A Thriving City for All Festival 2026, taking place from 21–31 May 2026.
The city-wide festival will bring Dublin to life with a vibrant programme of over 120 events, celebrating the people, projects and partnerships helping to shape a more inclusive, connected and welcoming city.
Led by Dublin City Council’s Community and Social Development Section, in collaboration with a wide network of stakeholders and local partners, the festival will showcase the many Inclusion and Integration initiatives taking place across Dublin. Events will highlight the power of community in action and the important role played by organisations, groups and individuals working every day to support participation, belonging and opportunity for all.
The festival will place a particular focus on those who may face barriers to social inclusion, including young people, older people, people living with disabilities, members of the Traveller Community, migrants and other communities across the city.
“A Thriving City For All Festival is a great opportunity for us all to celebrate Dublin. Celebrating Dublin means celebrating every person, every voice, every story, and every community that makes our city so special. To Thrive means more than just getting by it means growing, flourishing, feeling supported, accepted and able to reach your full potential. This festival will bring people together through events in health, technology, food, language, arts, sports, and education, celebrating all those who make Dublin a warmer, stronger and more welcoming city. I would encourage everyone to take part and celebrate this thriving city for all.” said Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Ray McAdam.
As Dublin continues to grow in diversity, energy and ambition, A Thriving City for All Festival offers an opportunity to celebrate the city’s progress while encouraging further action to ensure Dublin remains a fair, inclusive and dynamic place for everyone who lives, works, studies and spends time here.
“We are really looking forward to A Thriving City for All Festival which will build towards Dublin City Council’s goal to create a city where everyone feels welcome, valued and able to participate fully in community life. Dublin’s strength lies in its people, its diversity and its local communities. This festival is an opportunity to recognise the work happening every day across the city to remove barriers, create connections and ensure Dublin continues to be a fair, inclusive and vibrant place for all.” said Shauna McIntyre, Senior Executive Officer, Community & Social Development, at Dublin City Council
The festival reflects Dublin City Council’s ongoing commitment to building stronger communities, supporting inclusion and integration, and ensuring that all people have the opportunity to participate fully in city life.
