Dublin City Council is delighted to have been shortlisted for 8 projects at the LAMA Awards.
The Local Authority Members Association (LAMA) Awards showcase outstanding local initiatives, honour unsung heroes and acknowledge the remarkable contributions that enrich and strengthen our communities.
The Lord Mayor of Dublin Cllr Ray McAdam said:
“The shortlisting of Dublin City Council at the LAMA Awards is a strong endorsement of the direction our city is taking. Under my theme of ‘Celebrating Dublin’, we are showcasing a capital that is confident, creative and ambitious - a city that is not standing still, but moving forward with purpose.
These nominations reflect the kind of Dublin we are building: an Active City, investing in transformative projects like the Clontarf to City Centre Active Travel Scheme; a Living City, reimagining our public spaces through initiatives such as Artane Place and Sensoria; and an Engaged City, strengthening community, culture and connection through Dublin Winter Lights, Gaeilge365 and collaboration with partners at home and abroad.
To be shortlisted for Council of the Year is a tribute to the dedication of our staff, councillors, community partners and volunteers who work every day to make Dublin a better place to live, work and visit. Together, we are celebrating Dublin not just in words, but in action.”
