Nathan Carter and Braden Hull to headline ‘Dublin City Council Ceol Country’ as college football fever comes to Dublin City!

‘Dublin City Council Ceol Country’ comes to Merrion Square Park on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August, bringing two days of live country music, dancing, family fun and Irish hospitality to the heart of the capital.

Headlined by Ireland's biggest-selling country music star Nathan Carter on Saturday August 29th, and one of Nashville's fastest-rising new artists, Braden Hull, on Sunday August 30th, ‘Dublin City Council Ceol Country’ celebrates the very best of Irish and American country culture, creating the perfect soundtrack to one of Dublin City’s biggest weekends of the year, when American college football comes to town.


Lord Mayor of Dublin Daryl Barron, said: "I am delighted to see 'Dublin City Council Ceol Country' back again. This festival has become very popular and continues to go from strength to strength each year. So grab your stetson and your boots and head on down to Merrion Square Park to join the fun!"


Across two days, audiences can enjoy performances from Robert Mizzell, Jimmy Buckley, Claudia Buckley, Cliona Hagan, Sandy Kelly, Declan Nerney, The Highway Men, Effie O'Neill, Jack Keogh and Clodagh Lawlor, with the legendary Ronan Collins on MC duties on Saturday. Clodagh Lawlor on Sunday, and house bands The Ryan Turner Band and The Conquerors. 


Beyond the main stage, visitors can step into the lively Barn Dance Hall, where free line dancing workshops and social dancing sessions will run both days, perfect for whether you're a first timer or an old timer!

Traditional carnival rides and games, alongside a delicious selection of American-inspired food and drink, complete the festival experience.


As Dublin City comes alive for college football weekend, expect line dancing to meet tailgating, the cheers of "Riff Ram!" and "Go Heels!" to ring out across the city, and a warm Irish welcome for visitors travelling from home and abroad. ‘Dublin City Council Ceol Country’ promises an unforgettable weekend for music lovers, families, football fans and visitors alike.
