Dublin City's Local Environmental Improvement Plans

Dublin's Local Environmental Improvement Plans (LEIP) focus on enhancing public spaces and shared areas such as streets, parks and public buildings. They provide a structured approach to the physical enhancement of a small defined area.

It is an objective of Dublin City Council to prepare these plans insofar as priorities and resources permit. A list of potential LEIP’s can be found in chapter 2 (page 63) of the current Dublin City Development Plan.

The primary focus of these plans is the improvement of the public realm and those parts of the urban neighbourhood which are for use by everyone, and includes streets, squares, parks, public buildings and accessible ground floor uses.
