St Margaret’s Road/McKee Avenue Roundabout Pedestrian Improvement Scheme

This scheme improves pedestrian safety and accessibility at the St Margaret’s Road/McKee Avenue Roundabout. It is currently in the Detailed Design and Procurement phase.

The St Margaret’s Road/McKee Avenue Roundabout Pedestrian Improvement scheme will enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility by installing new signalised pedestrian crossings on the southwestern arm (St Margaret’s Road) and the southeastern arm (McKee Avenue) of the roundabout.

The scheme will provide a key link from Finglas Village and the end of the Finglas to Killester Active Travel Scheme to the supermarkets on St Margaret’s Road.  A Lidl supermarket is located on the western side of the roundabout, with carpark access that leads directly to the roundabout between the two St Margaret’s Road arms.

This scheme forms part of Dublin City Council's 314km Active Travel Network. To see where it fits into this citywide network, you can view our interactive GIS map.

Public consultation on this scheme was carried out from the of August to the 1st of September 2025. A Public Consultation Report has been produced which is available to view in Publications and Reports.
