Dublin City Council Customer Service Team Acknowledged for Outstanding Customer Service

The Lord Mayor of Dublin Daithí de Róiste last night officially recognised the Customer Service Section in Dublin City Council and their recent performance in the annual Excellence Ireland Quality Association (EIQA) Q Mark Assessment where they achieved an overall score of 92%. This is the highest mark achieved in the 15-years that Customer Services have been involved in this nationally recognised independent Quality Assessment.
The Q Mark is a business excellence standard that reviews all aspects of a company’s performance and commitment to continuous improvement on an annual basis and helps improve organisational performance through the requirements of audit and assessments that are above regulatory requirements.
The EIQA noted in their assessment of Dublin City Council’s Customer Services Team that, “There is a positive team culture evident in the Centre, with regular meetings and opportunities for staff to provide feedback and be involved in improvement activities.”
Darach O’Connor, Executive Manager, Corporate Services and Transformation Department, Dublin City Council welcomed the award saying, “The awarding of the Q Mark to Dublin City Council's Customer Services Centre team underscores the team's commitment to maintaining exemplary standards and their dedication to continuous improvement. This recognition is a testament to their commitment to excellence. I wish to express my gratitude to the team for their ongoing hard work in serving the citizens of Dublin.”
Martin Daly, Acting Manager, Customer Service Centre is delighted to have achieved such a high mark that validates the continued commitment of the Section provide excellent public service, “The continuous improvement in Customer Services scores shows the commitment from all towards providing a better customer service and a better customer experience. Credit is due to the excellent support provided by the department’s Assistant Chief Executive, Eileen Quinlivan and our Executive Manager, Darach O’Connor, and all of the staff of Customer Services, without whose support this would not have been possible”
