100 years ago this year Agatha Christie simply disappeared, sparking one of thebiggest nationwide searches in British 20th century history. After ten days, in a plot worthy of … an Agatha Christie novel, she turned up in a Yorkshire hotel, registered under the name of her soon to be ex-husband’s lover.
Fifty years ago she died after a writing career of six decades. During her lifetime and in the half century since, she has sold over two BILLION books.
In this talk crime writer (The Red Branch) and historian Dr. Myles Dungan, looks at her incredible career and her mysterious disappearance.
