The main body of the music collection is located in the Music Library in the Central Library, Ilac Shopping Centre. This offers an expansive resource for music students and music lovers alike. Whether you are a connoisseur or an occasional dabbler, the music library has a lot to offer; free of charge. Drop by and pay us a visit today! 

The library has a broad range of formats:

  • a turntable for listening to vinyl recordings in the Library 
  • Keyboard self-learning on our full length electronic keyboard.
  • You can also learn an instrument through the First Notes Collection which is a large collection of self-tuition materials in print and multimedia formats. A large number of music periodicals can be browsed, with back issues also available. Music students or those engaged in research find our Music Reference books and Periodical holdings a useful reference tool.
  • The Music Library also offers Block Loan facilities to Musical Societies and Institutions.
  • In addition to this, the Music Library holds Recitals, Talks and Seminars.
