Local Environmental Improvement Plans (LEIPs)
Dublin's LEIPs focus on enhancing public spaces and shared areas, such as streets, parks and public buildings. They provide a structured approach to the physical enhancement of a small defined area.
Dublin City Council prepares LEIPs depending on priorities and resources. A list of potential LEIPs for 2022-2028 can be found in Chapter 2 of the current Dublin City Development Plan.
The primary aims of these plans is to improve the public realm and places in urban neighbourhoods that are for use by everyone. This includes streets, squares, parks, public buildings and accessible ground floor uses.
