The ailing tree had been deemed hazardous to the public but, rather than cut the tree down, Dublin City Council enlisted Craggs to create a sculpture to represent the variety of wildlife found at the Bull Island Nature Reserve.
The sculpture is located at the north east corner of the park and at the crossroads that leads to Bull Island. Carved with a chainsaw, it features sparrow hawks, hares, badgers, herons and is topped by a swan.
