Dublin City Biodiversity Action Plan 2021-2025.
Biodiversity is the variety of all living things in a particular place and how they interact.
Wildlife is found all over Dublin city - along the coastline, in our rivers and canals and the places where they meet land, in public parks, graveyards, open spaces, along roadsides, railway tracks and footpaths, and in residential greens, private gardens, walls and buildings. How all of this wildlife interacts makes up the city’s biodiversity.
This biodiversity is vital to Dublin city. It must be protected from invasive species, climate change, habitat loss and human behaviour.
This plan lays out Dublin City Council's strategy for the conservation of the city's biodiversity.
