Local Area Plans and Masterplans

Local Area Plans and Masterplans help guide sustainable development in specific areas of the city. They align with the Dublin City Development Plan, but deliver the vision at a local level. Local Area Plans are statutory documents which set out objectives for development and land use for six years. They usually focus on areas which require urban renewal or where large-scale development is expected. Masterplans are non-statutory and usually focus on specific sites. They inform planning decisions.
