City Centre Master Plan
In 2012, with the publication of the 'Your City, Your Space; Dublin City Public Realm Strategy', Dublin City Council formally defined for the first time what is meant by the term ‘public realm’ and why the public realm is so important to the life of the city.
In 2015 we reviewed this work and surveyed the city core to identify projects which would have the greatest impact. Our 2016 City Centre Master Plan, 'The Heart of Dublin', derives directly from the work of the public realm strategy. It builds on the learning to date, lays out clear guidance and defines specific projects to be delivered as exemplars of our intentions for Dublin city.
These projects will be delivered in three phases of six years and align directly with the city's development plan. This represents our priorities for the next 20 years. Read The Heart of Dublin here or download below.
