South Circular Road Cycle Upgrade Project
The South Circular Road Cycle Upgrade project will see the upgrade of the existing 403 metres of cycle track on each side of the road from the Con Colbert Road junction to the southside of Island Bridge/Sarah’s Bridge.
The works will include the removal of the temporary bollards and the installation of concrete kerb protection, red asphalt surfacing on the cycle track, road markings, and cycle-friendly gully gratings. There will also be Safe Routes to School measures with the installation of pencil bollards and road markings outside Gaelscoil Inse Chór.
The works will be carried out by SIAC BP and Cairn Construction (24-hour emergency contact: 086 811 3659)
Construction is planned for 6th June 2026 until 30th June 2026.
Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works. Two-way traffic will be maintained.
