The Lord Mayor's Awards
Since 1989 the Lord Mayor’s Awards have honoured individuals and groups who have made a special contribution to Dublin and its citizens either on a local or a city wide level.
These awards are Dublin city's way of acknowledging and congratulating the extraordinary work that the recipients have done.
Previous recipients have included Jim Gavin, Ronnie Delaney, Dave Fanning, Maeve Binchy, Scouting Ireland, Merchant’s Quay Ireland, Marty Whelan, Brian O’Driscoll, Adi Roche, Capuchin Day Centre, Joe Duffy, Philly McMahon, Damien Dempsey and Jimmy Magee.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Councillor Ray McAdam is seeking nominations from the public for the Lord Mayor’s Awards 2026 to recognise the unsung heroes in Dublin city’s clubs, schools, communities and homes.
Nominations are sought through a website portal: The Lord Mayor's Awards and can be submitted between today and Friday 17th April, 2026.
All nominations are welcome.
