Economic Development and Enterprise Strategic Policy Committee

The purpose of the Economic Development and Enterprise Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) is to formulate, debate, monitor and review policy for the related sectors and functions, in order to facilitate economic development, enterprise and international relations for Dublin City.

The Economic Development & Enterprise Office, consisting of the Economic Development Office, the Local Enterprise Office (LEO), Smart Cities, Dublin.ie and International Relations, support the work of the Economic Development & Enterprise Strategic Policy Committee (SPC). 

The purpose of the Economic Development and Enterprise Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) is to formulate, debate, develop, monitor and review policy for the related sectors and functions, in order to facilitate economic development, enterprise and international relations for Dublin City.

The Strategic Policy Committee Scheme 2024-2029 assigned the following areas of responsibilities to the Economic and Enterprise SPC.

  • Economic Development
  • Enterprise Support
  • Local Economic Community Partnership (LECP)
  • Local Enterprise Office Dublin City
  • Tourism
  • Markets
  • International Relations
  • Smart Cities

The SPC Committee consists of 15 members, 10 Councillors and 5 sectoral members of organisations representing businesses interest groups. The committee meets four times during the calendar year with an additional event, the Dublin City Summit Series held in Q4 each year.
