Technical Information for Developers on District Heating
Policy in both the North Lotts and Grand Canal Dock Strategic Development Zone and the Poolbeg West Strategic Development Zone requires that all proposed developments be District Heating enabled.
The Dublin District Heating Project will be based on the most up-to-date district heating technology available, utilising moderate temperature levels, pre-insulated piping systems and energy efficient CHP production units. In this way, the greatest efficiencies can be achieved while also providing a high quality source of heat to customers.
The guidance pack below outlines technical specifications which can be used as a basis for compliance with the planning condition for district heating enablement. These specifications provide a guide to the installation requirements of all developments, including the standards to be adhered to.
