Dublin City Development Plan 2016-2022
The Dublin City Development Plan 2016-2022 sets out policies and objectives to guide how and where development will take place in the city over the lifetime of the Plan. It provides an integrated, coherent spatial framework to ensure the city is developed in an inclusive way which improves the quality of life for its citizens, whilst also being a more attractive place to visit and work. This Plan was adopted by Dublin City Council at a Special Council Meeting on 23 September 2016. The Plan came into effect on 21 October 2016.
Two Year Progress Report
This report from 2018 documents what progress was made on the Council's Development Plan objectives between 2016 and 2018.
Volume 1
Volume 1 of the Plan is the core policy document which sets out the overall strategy, vision, policies and objectives of Dublin City Council for the period 2016-2022.
It includes policies on housing, transport and movement, economy and retail, environment and climate, heritage and culture.
Volume 2
Volume 2 of the Plan includes all the appendices to the document.
Volume 3
Volume 3 of the Plan is a set of tent zone maps of Dublin City showing how the Development Plan objectives map onto different parts of the City.
Volume 4
Volume 4 of the Plan is Dublin City's Record of Protected Structures. This document is a list of all buildings and structures that have protected status because they have been identified as having architectural, cultural, historical, archaeological, artistic, social or scientific importance.
Volumes 5-7
Volumes 5-7 are environmental and conservation assessments of the Development Plan. They assess how the Plan considered the impact of Dublin City's development on environmental issues such as climate change, wildlife, natural habitats and flood risk.
