Spooktacular reads at Ballymun Baby & Toddler Book Club
The Baby and Toddler Book Clubs at Ballymun Library hosted Hallowe’en themed story sessions on Tuesday 25 October. Everyone dressed up for the occasion and had a ‘spooktacular’ time! At the baby session, the book Spot’s Spooky Fun by Eric Hill was read. This is a lovely story where Spot has the difficult task of deciding which costume to dress up in for Hallowe’en.The toddlers heard the story Usborne Noisy Spooky Book. This picture book has an attached sound panel which brings an interactive element to the storytelling. It was a big hit with the toddlers who loved the ghoulish sound effects that accompany the story! The groups learned spooky Hallowe’en rhymes and the children received goody bags. The toddler book club enjoyed seeing a witch reading Usborne Noisy Spooky Book. Some spooky characters who turned up at the Ballymun Toddler Book Club this Halloween! We are back from Midterm break next Tuesday, 8 November. Join us for more fun stories and songs as we’ll be reading What the Ladybird Heard by Julia Donaldson with the Baby Book Club and What’s the Time, Mr Wolf?
