Play Strategy 2022-2027

Dublin City Council’s Play Strategy 2022–2027 is now actively shaping how play is integrated into the city’s public spaces, schools and communities. Developed through extensive consultation with children and young people, the strategy ensures their voices are central to the design and planning of play environments.

Dublin City Council continues to champion play through the implementation of this strategy, which builds on the foundations laid by the original Play Plan for 2012–2017.

The strategy promotes a vision of Dublin as a Child-Friendly and Playful City, where play is visible, valued and accessible to all. We want to create a city where everyone has the right to play!
