How Island Bus Stops Work
This is what cyclists, pedestrians and wheelchair users should know about using these new road features:
- Footpath users should use the zebra crossings to get to and from the bus stop.
- Bus passengers will use the zebra crossings to get to and from the bus.
- Cyclists must slow down and yield to people using the zebra crossings.
This design encourages mutual cooperation and respect between cyclists, footpath users and bus users. It aims to create a safer and more pleasant space for everyone.
