Bealtaine 2025: 'Dublin Culture' with the Joyce Stagers

 - Irish Times review of DUBLIN CULTURE- Alan Reeve’s iconic image of a gathering of literary and ‘arty’ Dublin in the back-lounge of The Palace Bar in Fleet Street, in June 1940.

Joyce Stagers, Val O’Donnell and Tim Casey celebrate the gathering of 37 of Ireland’s foremost poets, writers, artists, and journalists featured in Alan Reeve’s famous caricature. Those featured include Patrick Kavanagh, Flann O’Brien, Austin Clarke, F.R.Higgins, Brinsley McNamara, Francis MacManus, and ‘Bertie’ Smyllie ( Editor, Irish Times) with readings/performances of a selection from their works.
